Jobsite Service Planning: What to Confirm Before the First Delivery

A usable site plan connects the order to the people doing the work. Use this checklist to get a clear quote, sequence deliveries and avoid an access problem on day one.

The short answer

Before booking, confirm five things for each service: the specification, the placement, the access route, the schedule and the total quoted charges. Put changes through one on-site contact so a revised fence layout does not block a restroom service visit or dumpster pickup.

SolidSite provides portable restrooms, handwashing stations, temporary fence, dumpsters, demolition, rental equipment and signage. Send the delivery ZIP and scope first; dispatch confirms availability and timing before the order is approved.

Build one placement plan

Mark the delivery entrance, gate opening, turning space, overhead obstructions, pedestrian routes and unloading areas. Note soft ground, slopes, low lines, parked vehicles and any access-hour restrictions. A photograph helps explain conditions, but does not replace required site approvals or a suitability check.

Decide what must stay reachable after the next delivery. For example, place a dumpster where the pickup truck can return after the fence is installed. Keep restroom service access available throughout the rental, including weekends if service is scheduled then.

Match the request to the service

Concrete flatworkDimensions, thickness, finish, reinforcement, access and pour dateSubgrade preparation, forming, reinforcement, joints, finish, curing, removal and haul-off

Use restroom guidance and dumpster sizing to prepare the request. Equipment selection and compliance decisions still need the responsible qualified person for your project.

Sequence the work

  1. Identify the date the site must be usable and the site contact's working hours.
  2. Complete required access, placement and utility checks before confirming delivery.
  3. Agree the fence and gate layout before it constrains a later truck movement.
  4. Set the service and swap schedule alongside the work schedule.
  5. Confirm who can approve changes and how they will reach dispatch.

If you need same-day service in Greater Houston, call early and ask for the actual available window. A request, estimate or website submission does not reserve inventory or guarantee arrival. Rio Grande Valley requests follow a confirmed scheduled service window.

Compare the full written quote

Check delivery, placement, rental duration, recurring service, pickup, taxes and any stated additional charges. Ask what happens if the crew cannot gain access, the rental runs long, debris exceeds the included weight or the scope changes. Compare the same service period and inclusions across quotes.

For multiple services, assign a project name and PO reference so the paperwork can be matched to the site. Recurring customers can request a contractor account; credit terms are subject to approval.

Close out cleanly

Request pickup before access disappears. Confirm containers and equipment are ready, remove locks or provide access instructions, and flag any damage or billing questions promptly. Keep the final quote, approved changes and service documentation together.
