Hotshot FAQ
Questions we get from Houston, Fort Bend, and RGV crews about hotshot logistics.
- How fast can you dispatch a hotshot load?
- If a truck is available, we roll within 60 minutes inside Houston and 2 hours to RGV staging. Peak hours may extend.
- Can I track the driver in real time?
- Yes — every load has a shareable GPS tracking link sent via SMS at dispatch.
- Do you handle oversize or overweight loads?
- Standard flatbed handles 48x8.5 ft and 48,000 lb net. Permits for oversize are arranged through dispatch — 48 hours lead time typical.
- How is hotshot priced vs LTL?
- Hotshot is $2–4/mile loaded with a $400 minimum. LTL is cheaper per load but takes 2–4 days. Pick hotshot when the clock costs more than the truck.
- Do you handle interstate loads?
- Yes — we run Texas and adjacent states. Anything crossing into Louisiana, New Mexico, Arkansas, Oklahoma is standard.
- What's your cancellation policy?
- Free cancellation up to 30 minutes before dispatch. After dispatch, a dead-run fee applies (typically 1 hour of driver time + fuel).
